What is your lead time?
Our current lead time on new work is approximately 6 to 8 weeks.
This allows us to ensure each project receives the attention and quality it deserves.

What products do we supply?
We are committed to supplying and using products that we know perform reliably and are built to last. Through hands-on experience and careful selection, we choose materials and components that meet high standards for durability, functionality, and long-term value. This ensures that every project not only looks great but stands the test of time, giving you confidence in both the quality and longevity of the finished result.
Can I come and visit the workshop?
Workshop visits are by appointment only to maintain both privacy and efficiency. This allows us to manage our workflow without interruptions and ensures that each visitor receives dedicated time and attention. Scheduled visits help keep the space focused and organized, while also respecting the privacy of ongoing projects and clients.
What vehicles do you work on?
We work on all types of vehicles and welcome a wide range of projects, from routine maintenance to full custom builds. However, we specialise in the GM LS platform, bringing in-depth knowledge and experience to every LS-based project. Whether it's performance upgrades, engine swaps, or fine-tuning, our expertise with the LS platform allows us to deliver exceptional results tailored to these powerful and versatile engines.
How much are our services?
Custom work is quoted on a case-by-case basis to accurately reflect the unique requirements of each project. Factors such as materials, design complexity, and time investment can vary significantly, so personalized quotes ensure fairness and transparency. This approach allows us to provide you with the most accurate pricing based on your specific needs and vision.
Do you do general maintenance?
While we do offer general maintenance on customer vehicles we’ve previously completed work on, we refer most routine maintenance jobs to trusted workshops we work closely with. This allows us to stay focused on the specialised and custom work we’re known for, while ensuring your vehicle continues to receive quality care from reliable professionals. We're happy to recommend workshops that share our standards and attention to detail.
Do you offer track support?
We offer track support to our customers with prior notice, ensuring you have the assistance you need for a smooth and successful day at the track. Whether it’s setup adjustments, diagnostics, or general support, we’re there to help you get the most out of your vehicle’s performance. Advance notice allows us to plan accordingly and bring the right tools, parts, and expertise to support your goals on the day.
Do you test your harnesses?
All of our work is thoroughly tested and calibrated to ensure optimal performance and reliability before it leaves the workshop. We take pride in our attention to detail and make sure every system functions as intended. To provide transparency and peace of mind, we supply documentation outlining the wiring and pinouts, so you can be confident in the quality and accuracy of the work completed.
What is the best way to contact Gen Wired?
The best way to contact us is via email or Instagram messages. These channels allow us to keep track of all inquiries and respond as efficiently as possible. While we may not always be available to answer phone calls during busy workshop hours, we regularly check and reply to messages on both platforms. Whether you have a question, need a quote, or want to discuss a project, feel free to reach out through either method.
Can you tune my car?
While we handle the full setup of your ECU, including wiring, configuration, and base calibration, we do not perform the final tuning in-house. Instead, we work closely with a trusted tuner who specialises in extracting the best performance from your setup. We coordinate with them to ensure a seamless process and also offer dyno support as part of the tuning phase, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently from setup to final tune.
Do you offer afterpay?
We accept all major payment methods, including cash, EFTPOS, bank transfers, and credit cards, to make transactions as convenient as possible for our customers. However, please note that we do not currently offer Afterpay or other buy-now-pay-later services. All work is to be paid in full upon completion, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Do you offer warranty?
We offer a warranty on all of our workmanship, standing behind the quality and care that goes into every job. This warranty covers any issues related to the work we've performed, giving you confidence and peace of mind. However, please note that this warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, external factors, or modifications made after the work was completed. Our goal is to ensure every customer is satisfied with the reliability and standard of our work.
Do you sell merchandise?
We stock and sell a range of quality merchandise, including apparel and accessories, so you can represent the brand both on and off the road. As a thank you for your support, every vehicle that comes through the workshop for a completed job will receive a complimentary merch pack. It's our way of showing appreciation and welcoming you into the community that supports what we do.
What are your opening hours?
Our standard opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We understand that some projects or needs may fall outside these times, so we also offer weekend availability strictly by appointment. This allows us to maintain a focused and efficient workflow during the week while still being flexible to accommodate special requests when needed. Please reach out in advance if you’d like to schedule a weekend visit.
Do you have stickers?
We have business stickers available in 11 different colours, giving you plenty of options to match your style or vehicle. These stickers are always available for purchase and are also included as part of the complimentary merch pack provided to customers with completed workshop jobs. Whether you’re after a subtle look or something bold, there’s a colour to suit everyone.
What is your return policy?
Our return policy covers faulty products, which can be returned or exchanged provided they show no signs of after-sales damage or misuse. We thoroughly inspect all returned items to ensure they meet these conditions before processing a replacement or refund. Please note that we do not offer returns or exchanges on products due to change of mind, so we encourage customers to choose carefully before purchasing. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we’re here to help with any questions prior to purchase.
How often can I expect updates?
We endeavour to send as many progress updates and photos as possible throughout your project, keeping you informed and involved every step of the way. While our workload can sometimes limit how frequently we can provide updates, we always aim to maintain clear communication and share meaningful milestones. Your trust means a lot to us, and we appreciate your patience as we focus on delivering high-quality work while keeping you in the loop.
