HTWAGN

Mick’s HT Holden wagon, known as “HTWAGN,” is a serious street-and-strip machine built with performance and reliability in mind. Under the bonnet sits a built LS3 fitted with Higgins CNC-ported heads and boosted by a Garrett G50 turbocharger. The setup breathes through a 5-inch dump pipe that transitions into a 4-inch side-exit exhaust, giving the car an aggressive tone and presence. Supporting the drivetrain is a built Powerglide transmission, purpose-built to handle the significant increase in power.

The rear end features a Ford 9-inch differential paired with MF single-leaf springs, CalTracs, and sliders for optimal traction and stability on launch. Viking shocks at all four corners ensure controlled handling and weight transfer both on the street and the drag strip. A full Haltech electronics package, including the Nexus R5, manages the engine and vehicle systems with precision, delivering the data and control needed for consistent performance.

Recently, all fabrication work was completed by Fablab to bring the car up to drag racing tech standards. This included a full roll cage, containment tray, parachute setup, and a pair of Kirkey race seats—ensuring both safety and compliance with racing regulations. On licensing night, HTWAGN clocked an impressive 9.2-second pass at over 140 mph, signaling plenty of potential to push into even faster territory as the setup is dialed in further.
